22 y/o Male RUQ pain
Hi,
Been suffering from RUQ pain (that occaisonally moves to my back) and Fatigue with occaisional nausea for 8 months now.
Went to the doctors back in April he said it could be gastritis if it didnt go away with nexuim.
Went back in may he ran a blood test found my liver enzymes ALT 104 all others were normal.
He said i could have fatty liver disease as my alcohol intake at that point was high(drinking heavily at least 4 nights out of 7) and i weighed 200lbs (which was obese for my 5'8 frame)
I got in for an ultrasound in August was completely normal in the mean time had a blood test and my ALT had returned to normal (25).
had an X ray in sept and that was completely normal.
I quit drinking alcohol 8 months ago no longer have caffiene and fatty foods and lost weight so i was close to normal as my frame would allow.
Im just looking for some suggestions as to why i am feeling so bad. The pain is 24/7 but sometimes is worse than others and the fatigue is worse some days than others.
Ive been referred to a Gastroentorologist (dont think ive spelt that right) at the hospital but the NHS is so slow i have to wait another 2 months for the appointment.
Should i still be worried about liver disease if all my recent liver tests are negative?
What else could be causing the pain, fatigue and nausea?
Many thanks
James Burn
