Possible tumor growth...those of you with periodic ultrasounds... - Liver & Pancreas Disorders Message Board

Hi all,

I supposedly have FNH and am being monitored with ultra sound> I was hoping those of you that have periodic ultrasounds for whatever reason would share your experiences.

3/06 size 1.5 x 2.3 cm ultrasound
4/06 size 1.8 x 2.3 cm CT
5/06 size 1.8 x 2.3 cm MRI
11/06 1.8 x 2.62 cm ultrasound

I heard it is common for ultrasound to not be as precise in regards to measurements as it is controlled by the tech not a machine and each tech is different. But geeez I just wish the error would go smaller instead of larger! Is .3cm nothing to be worried about? Does anyone elses ultrasounds vary? Thanks so much!

my CT scans varied in size....in small amounts similar to yours. To me, it just depended on who read and measured the scan. And, I may not have been in the exact same position everytime I was scanned....or holding my breath harder or less than before etc...

I was thinking it was probably technician related and I go yo my Dr. in a couple of weeks. I am not too nervous but there is always a small part of me that wonders...
