Overdose caused liver damage, HELP ME!
Hi, I'm 16 years old and for the past three years, I have been periodically overdosing on over-the-counter and prescription-drug medicines. These were all attempt at suicide, or some might say. I no longer do this or get anywhere near medicine like this again as I am sure it has damaged my health. I have made mistakes in the past and I was hoping someone here might be able to give me a little bit of information as to what it might have done to my health and estimate time of how long before, if it does, get worse. I will not go to the doctor or tell anyone else about this so please rule out that option now before giving me that "advice".
I am not completely sure on this but here is information of my overdoses to help answer my questions:
I overdosed once when I was 13, taking 8 Tylenol. I overdosed again around the same time, taking a little more, about 10 or 11 Tylenol. I overdosed when I was 15, taking again 10 or 11 Tylenol. Again, I overdosed taking 3 800 IBProfeins mixed with 1 Nyquil, and a few Tylenol. Another time, I took around 6-8 prescription (?) medicine. The last time I overdosed, I took 17 Tylenol. There is a good possibility of a few more overdoses that I don't remember. The first few times I did this, I experienced no effects other than upset stomach. The last few times, the more extreme overdoses, I collapsed and before anything more serious happened, my stomach threw up by itself. Since then, I experienced many nights of throwing up, , diarrhea, severe stomach pain, on the upper right side, at times where I couldn't get out of bed. However, the symptoms slowly went down within time. Although sometimes my liver feels slightly off, like an ache, the symptoms have all mostly gone away.
I realize that I have done damage to my liver, however, I read that the liver does heal itself to an extent from any damage. I feel nervous much of the time that one day I'll go to sleep and never regain consciousness again. I figured that even though my liver is damaged to an extent, it will continue to try to heal itself, but I'm guessing that within a long period of time, it might become cirriosis, or simply, a damaged liver. I was wondering from the information I gave, if anyone knew, how damaged my liver might be and how long before it gets worse or better. I'd also like to inform you that I have been/am a strict vegan since I was 15 (so no damage anymore to my liver from meat or dairy).
Please, if anyone can, help me out. I'd really appreciate it...
