hi AG, i know we chatted before when you kind of asked the same question like a week or two ago? honestly,sometimes there just ISN'T any real symptoms that show themselves when it comes to certain organs in some level of distress or function loss or even a full out disease process. we didn;t really have a clue that our then 12 year old son was actually in liver failure or had been slowly going into it since birth. no jaundice had showen yet either. signs/symptoms really don;t usually show themselves til a certain level of real damage has been reached. this is why you just really need to see your doc. between having blood labs drawn and then followed up with a liver ultrasound,you would know with pretty good certainty whether or not your liver is a problem. but you DO just have to have the tests run,really.

depending upon what the actual problem is with any organ would dictate just how it may show itself. it could all be in the lab numbers or even just upon ultrasoiund alone. i think i mentioned this before to you but i DO have some pretty heavy cystic damage to both liver and my kidneys and yet,thankfully,all my labs are still within all normal ranges. sounds really insane but this is true. it just has not yet reached the point where it is creating changes in my lab numbers. this is the big reason i always tell anyone who may think they have some level of liver or kidney issues to always follow up the labs with a good ultrasound. the numbers just will not actually change til the damage reaches some 'magic' level of damage. its just the way these tests and our organs are. and the very same is true when it comes to certain signs and symptoms.

i really do think you just need to go in and see your doc for some labs and an ultrasound. if nothing shows abnormal on these two seperate tests,you can probably be pretty safe in assuming that everything is running well as they can be. you just cannot simply rely upon waiting for any real signs or symptoms when it comes to certain organs,since any changes in labs wont show til much later when the damage hits that certain level.

just make that appt and get the stuff done. please let us know what you actually find out,K? good luck AG,marcia
