Question About Cirrhosis - Liver & Pancreas Disorders Message Board

My Aunt has cirrhosis and she has a pace maker.She found out she had cirrhosis in may she has had the pace maker for a few years. And she was on coumadin, they had stopped giving her that since may.Now my question is that she went in to the hospital yesterday with an irregular heartbeat {ABOUT TO POUND OUT OF HER CHEST] Now also she is allergic to beta pace and she is taking propranolol her heart is still beating irregular and we also found out her platlets are low.I'm wondering if someone can tell me something . It just seems like the dr. does not want to tell us anything.

#1. What do you mean allergic to "beta pace"?
#2. Propranolol isn't the best thing for rapid atrial fibrillation or supraventricular tachycardia which is probably what your aunt had when she went to hospital with the fast heart beat.
#3. The low platelets are a consequence of the cirrosis.
