prednisone reaction please help - Liver & Pancreas Disorders Message Board

I hope for a response of anykind The doc has put me on prednasone....i have readthe testimonials of others on this horrible drug but havnt seen any that are having the same reactions as me and am wondering ....whats up....I am wired to the point of crawling out of my skin...Its litterally impossible for me to stand or sit still...sometimes I hav to jog up and down my driveway just to help stop the insane vibration in my body...my spine will begin to tingle as if its about to go numb and then Ill have back spazms wich are imobilizing...the only thing is I cant stop to relax and the pain med doesnt touch it I have been diagnosed with autoimmune hep and find im on more drugs now than ever in my lifetime...seem a little odd...went and had acupunctue for the back and it relieved a little but at 173.00 I couldnt afford to do that on a daily basis anyone with suggestions would be greatly appreciated...thanks...jaye

I react the same way to prednisone so its not your imagination......I am not permitted to take it for the sjogren's because I have cirrhosis.....if you look up cirrhosis, most web sites will tell you no anti-inflammatory medicine, your liver can't process it......I had auto immune hepatitis......what kind of doctor gave you it knowing your detailed medical history......time to find another one......I went on plaquenil immediately when I was diagnosed, which thrilled me because I knew what would happen with the prednisone.
good luck and get another doctor, start drinking a lot of water.....
