Re: Strong smelling urine?
just what did your doc say about your high lab numbers? you really do need to obtain copies of all of your labs or any other testing results just so you have them for your own records and to compare the others to too. it really does help. continuing to drink alcohol when you know your liver is not up to par really isn't a good thing to keep doing or your liver will not be able to recover any real damage. if i were you,i would see your doc for some lab work on your urine and a repeat set of labs on the liver and also your kidneys too just to make sure the functions with those are okay. in some cases, liver issues can also be related to kidney issues too. alot depends upon just what caused the high liver enzymes to be out of range in the first place.
the thing about the urine could be related to many different things, thats why you do need to have some UAs run on it. they can test it,break it down to see whats actually in there. there are just some things that can show up in urine that are not supposed to be there. its generally a sign of some organ function issue going on. it just needs to be done in your case. with liver issues, seeing very dark urine is usually what is related to liver problems, but there could be other issues too ya know? i am not a doc just someone who has both liver and a kidney disease and also has a son with a liver transplant. learning by experience is interesting. i would just make an appt to have all this done with your primary. and i really would try not to drink anymore alcohol,it just can create bigger problems for you in your situation. please keep me posted on just what you find out. good luck L. marcia
