Why yes there is! Bilirubin, which is a breakdown product of hemoglobin, and it is used as a component of bile. Bile is made by the hepatocytes of the liver and it is stored in the gall bladder. When one eats, the gall bladder can contract and push out bile in order to help better absorb the fats in the diet. Having a gall bladder doesn't necessarily make your bilirubin levels go "up";however, the levels may change if one has liver disease.
