Common Bile Duct Dilated >10mm RUQ pain and ERCP recommended. Help? - Liver & Pancreas Disorders Message Board

I had a liver resection for a benign liver tumour and gallbladder removal in june 08. Everything was fine afteward, except normal pain and digestive issues. CT scan in August 08 showed that all was find.
I have been experiencing a lot of pain around my liver and right shoulder. I had a CT scan on Thursday and it showed that my common bile duct was dilated more than >10mm but no cause was seen, also noted were 2 cysts (new) but small and an enlarged appendix (not the cause of my pain and basically irrelevant).
Has anyone else experienced a dilated Common Bile Duct? Is there any advice that you can offer on that or the ERCP? I'm also worried about what might happen if they can't fix the problem during ERCP and I need more surgery...I don't think I could cope with that. Oh well.

My husband is in the hospital for an Enlarged Common Bile Duct. He is a 42yr old white male who has been on Methadone for 7yrs. He has been experiencing SEVERE pain in his abdomen for several days now. The Doctor seams to think that the Methadone is the cause for his Enlarged Common Bile Duct. 2marrow he will have his galbladder removed, but the Doctor does not seam to think this will solve his problem. I'm curious to know if Methadone would actually cause the Common Bile Duct to enlarge to such a degree. I;m not sure what you think about this, but any clues? Thank you. I'm totally scared and freaked out.
