right side pain just under the rib cage - Liver & Pancreas Disorders Message Board

For the past 3 weeks my 15 has experienced pain just under her right rib cage. She explains the pain as the way you feel when a pill hangs in your throat only it is on the right side. She says that just drinking water causes the pain to increase. The pain never goes away even with Tylenol or Aleve. The hida scan was normal and the ultra sound of her gallbladder showed no stones. I'm very baffled as to what could be wrong.

She could still have gallbladder problems. all my scans and ultra-sound showed nothing and dr went ahead and took out gallbladder anyway and I had stone and disease gallbladder. However I was 48 when I did

Now I am having problems again and looking at duct problems or liver problems

Keep taking her to Dr's until they figure out what it is --- when we have pain our body is trying to tell us something

Has she had a CT Scan. I have had this for 8 weeks. I was diagnosed with Epiploic Appendagitis. It is like a skin tag on the intestine. Keep taking her back until you get your answer..
