Relationship between high liver enzymes and high blood pressure

(61yr. female 160lbs. caucasian) In the past year my
liver enzymes and blood pressure have both elevated out of normal range. I am otherwise healthy. The liver sonogram showed a healthy liver and blood work ruled out the usually suspected problems.

Re: Relationship between high liver enzymes and high blood pressure

i really don't know of any real actual 'direct' connections between the two? the kidneys would have a much much bigger overall impact upon anyones BPs than liver would. this could just be a coincidental type of issue too, ya know? how are your kidneys functioning right now and how did THEY look upon the sono? do they know the real reason for the elevation in enzymes at all yet? just exactly what IS out of range on your lab sheet? anything other than the actual ast and alt? did they actually run your kidney and metabolic labs too?

are you or were you taking any rx type meds for any reason or even OTC type meds before that testing was done both labs and the sono? what have your docs told you about this so far? marcia
