New here, what's a nodule?

I had an Ultra Sound done for pain in the upper right area. (doctor though it was gall bladder) My gall bladder is fine but they say they found 2 "nodules" and want to look further with an MRI. I'm freaked...anybody know more about this? I'm also concerned about the contrast dye. I react to antibiotics, certain soaps...Do they have to contrast? I'm pretty healthy and my pain is minor but I'm worried.
