My mom had breast cancer twoenty years ago. She had one breast removed and her lymph nodes showed no sign of cancer cells. She went through Kemo and radiation as preventive. 10 years later the cancer form in the muscles by the breast she had removed. They removed this tumor and since there where no nodes she only did radiation. Now 10 years later (total 20 from the begining she has liver cancer, one cell in the lung that is cancer and bone cancer. The original kemo knocked out the lung and it was clear. The liver was fully operating but the masses fell off and after 3 months a mass has grown back. The cancer cells in her bone are getting lighter. However, for the past ten days she has been bedridden. She cannot eat and throws up each time she drinks Ensure or anything else. They said her eshospaus is the size of a straw due to raditation 20 years ago. She had 15 attempts to strecth it and all have failed. She looks very pale. Cannot eat. and vomits after drinking. She sleeps all day off and on. Her stomach is now swollen. She can not put one leg on the other while laying on her side without the leg hurting. I feel she does not have much time left and the treatment is failing. Any prior experiences or suggestions or any blog will be great.
