| The disappearing liver mass....so who's crazy here????
In March 2010, during a CT scan of my heart a mass was seen on my liver. That radiologist thought it was a hemangioma. So, I had another CT scan with barium and dye to look specifically at my liver. THAT radiologist called it FNH, and both said it was about the size of a tennis ball.
So, my PCP sent me to a GI doc (no liver docs within 100 miles of us), who ordered an MRI, which also showed the mass.
SO, yesterday I had an ultrasound assisted endoscopy and while I was out of it due to the anesthesia, the GI doc told my husband that no mass was seen at all and what was seen on the two CT's and the MRI was just a "shadow".
What the heck????????
Have any of you ever had this happen to you? Today I'm going to call the GI doc who did the procedure yesterday and ask a lot of questions. I laid awake most of last night wondering what the heck was going on! Maybe my husband just wasn't paying any attention to what the doc said? So much for taking someone along when you have a procedure done!
