| what are the final stages of death like with end stage liver disease
My boyfriend of six years is suffering from end stage liver disease as well as failing kidneys due to hepatitis C. He has been given only weeks to months to live. We are both really scared and dont know what to expect in the coming weeks. He also has ascites (which has been drained in the past), pain, weakness and nausea and vomitting. I'm so worried he will suffer terribly. What happens to the body when you are ready to die from this disease. We have had hospice involved in his care for the past month. While they are supportive, their presence only scares me more.
