i would like to know what supplement i need for my mother she has hep c from a blood transfusion.resulting in cirrosis. she aslso has stage 3 kidney disease. she has been doin great until mid october. her k+ was 5.7 her medical dr. placed her on kexelate 15g/daily for 21days!! which made her retain 22lbs of excess fluid in three weeks! they did not tell her that with taht medication she should have had potassium serum checks daily.. so the resultwas fluid retention due to the sodium content of the medication and the existing liver condition. she had to be hospitalized, and have 2 liters drained from her abdomen. ever since then it has been very hard to get her blood pressure stable, she is very tired. sometimes brain fog. i desparately want to help save her. i have followed your advice on supplements, but i would like to just give her what she needs i dont -k-now if i should get livatone..livatone plus ..or both..or those plus other supplememnts? since she was released from the hospital on nov 2nd. she weighed 146. now at 139-142...we monitor weight and bp daily. she is on diuretics for her bp. please let me know what i need to buy regarding supplements. asap. : ) < edited > i am pleading for your help.
