Hi
I am new to the board and am trying to get some information/support.
I have been feeling unwell for a number of years and the doctors have just put it down to borderline diabeties/thyroid/pre menopause etc.
I had a nasty car accident at the beginning of September and had to have ultrasound scans on my kidneys because of blood in my urine. They discovered I have a kidney stone, but aother than that, the kidneys are fine. They did however find I have a problem with my liver which was not due to the accident and they don't know how long I have had it.
My doctor took lots of bloods for testing, which he told me were clear, but I still insisted on being referred to a specialist.
When I collected my results to take to the specialist last week, the bloods weren't clear. My GGT is 146 (range 5-35) and I have Antinuclear Antibodies speckled pattern (Titre 1:160).
My liver scan states 'has diffused heterogenous echogenicity which may represent biliary hamartomas.
I attended my specialist appointment last week and he has told me to ignore any contact my docotor tries to have with me and is sending me directly for an MRI next week and had a lot more bloods taken.
Can anybody adise me on this as I am really worried. I very rarely drink alcohol.
Thanks
