| | Tumor found on liver?
My mother has been experiencing some andominal pain to the right of her stomach towards the back that is periodic as well as some fatigue (she sleeps more than usual), and has been experiencing loss of a appetite/getting full easily (even though she continues to eat because she feels like it despite not being hungry. She also doesnt like eating meat as much as she used to (early sign of stomach cancer) The doctor had ordered an ultrasound and the results showed a tumor that is 16mm and other smaller masses that the doctor wasnt certain about, all on the liver. The us also showed a mass in the stomach. My mom has always had amenia (or however you spell it), and low blood pressure as a result. Lately, she started bruising easily for no reason....she would have bruises from just taking a bath! Naturally, doctor was concerned and ordered blood testing...results came in normal with everything (alt, ast, exc) in range and actually a bit low. We're waiting to take a CT on tuesday. My mother's side has had an extensive list of cancers....grandma had ovarian cancer, great aunts and uncles had lung cancer, greatgrandpa had stomach cancer. Naturally, im concerned to a point of anxiety where i stopped eating most of the time, and hyperventilate at night (i have a history of this whenever im stressed out) to the point where i cant sleep whatsoever most nights of the past week. So, im sorry for asking such a personal question, but did anyone here (with small benign tumors) show symptoms like my mother? Everything online points toward liver cancer or liver mets which is really no comfort. She had her gallbladder removed about five years ago. Ive heard that sometimes that can cause the pain but its been so long! Since alt and ast levels are so low im inclined to believe that it can no longer be fatty liver which causes the same symptoms. Can that be wrong?
Unfortunately, my family is not very rich and my mom has no insurance and only recently has she applied for medical. So, the doctor is only a resident at a non for profit hospital and does not specialize in this and i cant contact him because he has no contact info. Hes usually concerned over everything. Should we speak with a specialist, how can we afford it?
