losing weight, when not on a diet, is nearly always an indicator of something wrong. it maybe minor but is an alert to be seen by a doc.
I had a friend who was a large person - weighed about 330 lbs. they said his liver was fatty and enlarged to 50% - yet never had a problem. They took his gall bladder out and he was fine.
As for the urination please make sure, which I am sure that he does, prostate and diabetes disease.
