| life expectancy for end stage liver disease?
My Dad has end stage liver disease and my brother and I cannot get any sense out of the medical professionals treating him. He is still abusing alcohol and will not participate in any detox programme. He is at home and I am caring for him. We want to know roughly how long he has, as we are wondering whether to investigate hospice care. He has varicies, ascites and heart failure.(the heart damage is also alcohol related, and was spotted before the liver damage). No one will tell us anything. I know it's impossible to say for sure, but I would be grateful if anyone has any information as to how quickly the end will come for him. Thanks
