 Elevated ALT & GGT
Hello,
I welcome all comments and assistance please. I had a recent blood test with slightly elevated ALT & GGT values. My ALT is 67 and my GGT is 72. I am a social drinker, smoker and am overweight, I take Lipitor and Nexium. All other liver values are normal. My doctor sent me a message, would not speak to me directly, that said to quit taking the Lipitor for a month. Then they would redo my blood test and if it did not change she is going to send me for a ultrasound. How concerned about this should I be? What could be the problem? Has anyone has this happen before? All questions I would as my doctor if she would return my call.
