My ALT Is Extremely High

Hello there,

I did a lab test, and I found that my AST was ok 32, but my ALT was 113 while the normal is between 15 and 65. I am concerned about that. What would be the reason and the solution?

Thanks

I have issues with my numbers too. I know that some medication along with alcohol effect your numbers. What does your doctor say about your numbers? My Ast is 153 and my alt is 74....I get re tested in 2 weeks. Hope all turns out good for you!

Re: My ALT Is Extremely High

She didn't say any thing because it wasn't the main reason of the test. But what I understood from searching on the Internet is that AST is much more related to alcohol than ALT is. Thanks. Good luck. I am going to meet her this Tuesday. I'll keep posting if you want?

Re: My ALT Is Extremely High

She said that if any enzyme in the liver is less three times higher than the highest normal, then they consider that as a problem especially when it is one enzyme like my case. She said it is sort of normal.

I am going to ask some specialist why, but I think for me it is because I drink a lot of soda an eat a lot of fast food.

I will write here as soon as I get further info. Please write as well.

Thanks
