 Liver Spots Found During Ultrasound
My father, 50yo, went to have an ultrasound done on his gallbladder. During the appointment, they also checked his liver and found a large spot. (I have no other information about the "spot", yet...)
Friday, my brother rushed him to the ER in fear of a heart attack, because he was having chest pains. After an EKG and several blood tests, they confirmed that he had NOT had a heart attack - thankfully. They also did a chest x-ray while he was there. The chest x-ray showed that he had an enlarged heart.
My dad also has Acid Reflux. (He has had this for many years.)
Could these dxs be related? Liver "spot", enlarged heart, acid reflux?
My family is really close and we are all very worried. The Dr mentioned cancer first then spouted off several other things the liver spot might be. But, of course, once you hear cancer - you are focused on that.
He had a CT done today to gather more information on the liver "spot". Any information you all have would be greatly appreciated.
