| Profound panceas failure/enlarged spleen and fatty scared liver
Hi, I have been back and forth the hospital now for just over 2 yearsinc eI had my Gall Bladder removed. When it was removed I was told that I had an enlarged spleen. I had an ultrasound scan done and was told it was 15cm. I was also told that my liver was heavily fatted and scared.
I had been back and forth clinics checking my weight and bloods. I have since had another ultrasound done and spleen now measures 16.5cm, liver still the same. My platlets are down.
I have now since been told that I have profound pancreatic failure, pancreas not producing enzymes and so now i`m on Creon tablets and have now been booked in for a CT Scan in a week.
Has any body had same issues or can offer any advice if any.
I will point out that i`m in my mid fortys, don`t drink, don`t smoke and don`t eat lots of fatty foods. I am not overweight and up until the past 2 years was active with walking and kayaking, but now get tired easily.
