Lowered AST and ALT levels??

I've suffered from anorexia for most of my life, and I know that this takes a toll on my body.

I've had the test redone twice over the past 2 months, and both times my ALT and AST levels have come back a few points below normal, which my doctor says is an indication of malnutrition and puts me at risk for beriberi?

He didn't go in to much detail after that and has now just left me freaked out. I've been in recovery for my anorexia now for 4 months, and try to eat as well as I can, though I don't always do as well as I should be doing. How do I raise these levels? How do I know if my liver is doing super poorly, what kind of symptoms would I get? Is having low levels actually really bad?
