1.1 is basically normal. Your doctor is just being precautions. And he's looking at your gallbladder for sure. Normal bilirubin is up to 1.2 and some labs go to 1.6
Bilirubin fluctuates by the hour. A hematologist told me they don't start to even get concerned until its over 2.0
My bilirubin bounces between .08 and 1.2 and last year it was 1.3 at one time.
No big deal.
It's when certain other things are off with the bilirubin that they worry, low albumin, low platelets, pt time, CBC etc.
