Liver Panel Tests

Is it possible to have Liver Panel Results within the normal range or slightly elevated and still have a liver problem and even cirrhosis. I do drink and have for many years but have always taken supplements for the liver such as milk thistle, dandellion, liquid garlic, alpha lipoic acid, selenium, tumeric plus a liver complex in addition to a high quality vitamin and mineral supplement. Plus I do eat a mostly healthy low fat diet.

I don't have any signs such as yellowing of skin, itchy skin, extended stomach, weight loss, white or pale stool, weakness, loss of appetite, etc.

Considering all the years that I've drank it seems to good to be true that I don't have a problem even with a significant amount of supplements.

Re: Liver Panel Tests

Yes definitely. In general, we see high level of Bilirubin in patients with Cirrhosis. However, only slight elevated or even normal level can happen. Blood tests help a lot but do not indicate that patients have or not have some conditions.

Cirrhosis causes the body to deteriorate. If one has it, it will eventually show.
