Green Bowel Movements and Milk Thistle?

Hello,
I am a moderate drinker at times and read about the possible benefits of milk thistle. I started taking the supplement on a steady basis about a week ago and yesterday had several drinks throughout the day (also drank a TON of water due to thirst). I also had a huge bowel movement yesterday morning and everything was fine.
However, I had another huge movement this morning and was mortified to see that a good deal of it was a dark greenish-brown. Iíve never had anything like this before and am not sure what to think. Could the milk thistle be causing this? Could it be because of the drinking? I did have two drinks yesterday that contained blue curacao but never noticed that being an issue before.
Iím not by any means a heavy drinker but do still worry sometimes about liver damage Ė would that cause green stool? I always thought lighter colored stools were the cause for concern but Iím not sure.
I just had blood tests three months ago (follow up for an unrelated issue) and all results, including liver panel, came back fine. I had a chest/abdominal CT in January as a preventative measure (former smoker, 10+ years ago, yay) and it came back good. I also just had an abdominal ultrasound less than six months ago due to gallbladder issues (since removed) and everything was fine. Iím not nauseous, in fact I feel pretty good todayÖjust a little alarmed over the green!

Hi X,

Did you eat leafy greens or a dill pickle? Generally you need only look for black stools which indicates blood in your stomach. Do you have a burning sensation in your stomach?
