| only five days of radiotherapy.
Hello, i am new to this board. I wonder if anyone can answer my questions? My dad has recently died from lung cancer on the 13th of April 2006. He was first diagnosed on December the 14th 2005. I'm sure we were told that it was a small tumor although four months later dad has gone. It seems that the five days of radiotherapy affected him so badly that he lost his fight for life(he passed away two weeks later). He had lost weight, had pains in his lower back and couldn't swallow any food or tablets in the end as they kept getting stuck. Can anyone tell me if these were the final symtoms of cancer or just the effects from the radiotherapy? Also, i have notice that many people had had extensive days/ weeks of radiotherapy but my dad was only offered five days of it, do you think they knew he would not make it? ( although no one ever said!)
