Hi there. You may have already had your surgery...but I'll post anyway. I didn't have surgery for the same thing as you...mine was to remove a nodule...and my right upper lobe. I can tell you that I had a full thoracotomy and it was a really difficult healing process for me. I also had a 5 inch incision and was in the hospital for 4 days. A thorascopy is a much simpler procedure (they tried to do this for me, but were unable to because of the location)...with a couple of small incisions and everything is done via camera. From what I was told, the healing time for that procedure is about 2 weeks. I started feeling back to normal after my surgery on the 6 week mark.
