Question Help With Spirometry Report...

Hello Everyone

I was wondering if anyone knows how to read or somewhat interpret a Spirometry Report? I am a 42 year old woman who has smoked for the past 25 years. I am also 50 pounds overweight. I have listed my report below. My primary doctor says that I have the beginning stage of COPD but I am not sure as he is not a pulmonary doctor.

Re: Help With Spirometry Report...

Hi. Do not know if you are still around, but I researched this some having just gotten my own test. I`m in no way a professional. It seems you improved some with the administering of the medication, as is seen in the "% Change" column in the second section. Also if you look at the "% Pred" column in the first section, I believe this tells the % you performed of what would be expected of a person your size and weight. I have read that 80% of higher is normal and yours is lower in some cases, but often only slightly so. So maybe your doctor is correct with the "mild" accessment based on this report. Again take this with a grain of salt, wanted to help since no others answered. Thanks. And I`ll post to the board what happens with my test.
