Symptons = wheezing, dry cough, burning in lungs
I have noticed lately that I have several symptoms that are unusual for me. Every once in a while, when I breathe in I hear a wheezing sound. It comes as quickly as it goes, and it may or may not happen again for a while. In addition, I have a burning in what can only be described as what feels like the bottom of my lungs. Lastly, I have a dry cough although it is a small one - not a hacking, loud one. I do not and have not ever smoked, but lived in a household growing up with parents who smoked themselves silly. I do not have an allergies that I am aware of, and I am not taking any new medications. I do not have a fever or any other symptoms that would lead me to feel that I had a cold or respiratory infection. I feel great, other than I am now concerned that there is something serious going on. I called for an appointment with my internist, but have to wait several weeks to get in...Basically I am hoping that perhaps someone has an idea of what this might be other than lung cancer, which frankly I do not want to contemplate. Any insights would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your responses.
