My husband was diagnosed with multiple PE's last December. He has been on cumedin(I don't know how to spell it!) for 13 months now. He had a scan yesterday and the doctor said something is showing up on the cat scan. His clots were large. Is it uncommon for these clots to still be there after one year? We're seeing a lung specialist on Friday. His PE's followed knee surgery last year. could this be damaged tissue? We're really nervous about this. I don't feel this is related to cancer or anything like that since it happened after surgery and he isn't prone to blood clots.
