Lung nodule 7mm - non calcified
The nodule was found 18 months ago; follow up CT scans every 6 months showed no change. I was just diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Can RA be the cause of the nodule? The location of the nodule makes it impossible to biopsy w/o invasive surgery. When can I stop having CT scans as follow ups.

Hi sferris...

Welcome to the boards! Yes, from what I have read, Rheumatoid Arthritis can cause lung nodules. The common approach with a nodule like yours is a 'wait and see' approach. If there is no change in it in 2 years, it is considered benign. Seems like you're on the home stretch with only 1 more scan to go! Good luck, I hope the waiting period goes quickly for you!
