Chest pain and shortness of breath
I spent four hours in the emergency room today ruling out cardiac problems and left with a slight chest infection and antibiotics.
I got sudden chest pain, this pressure in the centre at my sternum, at noon today. I couldn't breathe in because of the pain increasing when I did, so I breathed really shallow until I felt dizzy and rang an ambulance.
I had a blood sugar test, a little high, but OK, and chest X-ray and ECG test, and it only showed up the chest infection. They gave me pain relief and antibiotics and checked what I could do without pain, what caused pain, and said perhaps it is muscular/skeletal.
Has anyone had anything like this? Maybe a chest infection that's caused moderate pain in the chest? I've had it once before, years ago. And I was sitting down watching TV when the pain came.
