I think I have asthma. I always get out of breath by just doing the simplest things (ex: walking at a normal pace up a few steps). Sometimes I get out of breath by just standing up. If I go to my doctor isn't there a simple test that can be done to see if I have it? If so, what is the test like?

I would think maybe a pulmonary function test could be done-this test is a matter of blowing into machines different ways-also they might check your blood and see how much o2 is there. Go to the doctors for sure though.

Yep, Cutenbrat is right. Pulmonary function is the best bet followed by a pulmonary stress test. Neither are hard nor painful but will test the strength of your lung capacity.
