| | Throbbing Pains Under Ribcage / Difficulty Breathing
Wanted to know if anyone out there has experienced the following symptomg.
Two weeks ago I started to feel a sporadic but repeated stabbing pain that started approx. 2 inches off the sternum under a right rib. Didn't matter what I was doing. Inhaling, exhaling, standing, exercising, lying down. Dull but focused pain repeatedly occurred. Few days later, same pain started also on opposite side of the sternum under a rib. Then more pains under the entire rib cage followed both infront and at back and around spine.
Thought these pains were some type of weird muscle strain. However, after 2 weeks of these odd pains, I developed a strange pressure in my entire chest area. This has made breathing very difficult - especially inhaling. It feels as if my chest is wrapped in a metal vice.
There is no fever, cough, flu, fatigue, asthma history, indigestion etc. to report.
The only thing which I similarly experienced last year was the problem breathing part. This was caused as a result of food poisoning where my abdomen extended from a form of ecoli (luckily not the 1075 strain)I picked up from having eaten a hamburger at a restaurant. The bacterial infection was treated with Cypro for 1 month. After which I resumed normal breathing and no more discomfort in my chest or ribcage.
Hence I am thinking could what I am currently experiencing be another form of food poisoning? But why do I have the pains under the ribs and throughout my ribcage? Why am I having trouble breathing - especially inhaling?
Have any of you been feeling similarly? Have you seen a doctor? What was the diagnosis? Treatment?
Please let me know.
