| | Breath-holding spells and arrhythmia at 14?
I'm 14 and I know that breath-holding spells are prevelent in young chilren (aged about 6 months or younger to as old as 6 years old), however, I notice that constantly throughout the day (doing normal activities, completely calm and not nervous and just sitting there) I have to keep consciously reminding myself to breathe. I heard that this could be a symptom of sleep apena, but I wasn't completely sure. Anyway, I also have some type of arrhythmia that was never diagnosed. A doctor just basically told me I had it. But my heart will often skip two beats at a time, then, to make up for it, start pumping way faster than it had originally been. Sometimes I get sharp pains in my chest and a lot of pressure. This worries me. I haven't passed out because I'd managed to remind myself to inhale every time, thankfully. Anyone else have these problems?
P.S.-While writing this, I had two breath-holding spells. I type very quickly so this does kind of worry me...And I'm being serious. Not a joking teenager. Trust me. I've had way too many illnesses to be "joking" and anyone who jokes about medical ailments needs some freaking serious help.
