Pulmonary fibrosis
My Mum has had pulmonary fibrosis for over 5 years.
This morning she was taken into hospital as she couldn't breathe very well and she also has a chest infection.
The doctor says she has pnuemonia and has to stay in hospital for a few days.
Looking on various websites it does say that someone with pulmonary fibrosis is not expected to live with it for more than 5 years!!! I am worried that this pnuemonia may be really bad and I may lose her.
If anyone has any advice please reply.

Hi, I was just wondering how your mom is doing. I've had pulmonary fibrosis for 12 years and was hospitalized a couple of years ago for pnuemonia. If she has the slow progressing as I do and she works at staying well, she can live much more than 5 years.

How is your mom doing now? I lost my mom last year to PF.
