chest tubes

hi , need some answers please, hubby had gb out 1/22 . his belly remains distended as prior to surgery and is increasing in size and seems to firmer to the touch . not much pain, prior to gb . he also had bad cough and cracked a rib ,(gall bladder area)
he just had xray ABD, ultrasound of ABD. and yesterday a CT of abd.his Dr. called last night and had results , seems that a chest tube was placed , and ribs moved around during GB removal via LAP surgery for GB. he has collection of fluid in area where GB was and a hematoma as well. no S/S of inf. We were unaware that this was done . since it was done in another state we got med. records + ultrasound sent to his Dr. at home . there is no mention of this procedure. today am calling Yuma hospital to try and obtain any records regarding this. he continues to have fluid in bases of bilateral lungs. also has consistent cough and has been DX with pvcs , hes sees the arrhythmia specialist next week. he take s water pill each am hr very irregular with pvc's high 30-low 40s. b/p are fairly WNL.is this CHF????? where is the fluid coming from??? any help would be appreciated. blu
