| ct SCAN showed 3 8mm nodules on lung
I was diagnosed with severe COPD emphsyma 6 years ago. On meds and 02 for exertion and sleep. Things going well, exercise, play golf , and enjoying daily living.
Last week I was informed that a recent CAT scan showed 3 differnet nodules on lungs. two 8mm in size and one 5mm in size. I have a new Dr. because I'm in another area of the country from my regular Pulmonary Dr, and the new Dr. that I I have no information on or trust in has recommended waiting 3 months before performing another CT scan. Wondering if it's wise to wait 3 monthe. would like a PET scan before then. As a previous smoker that knows the outcome of lung cancer I'm anxious about waiting.
What I'm wondering is if I should be aggressive and insist on CT scan/PET scan asap rather than waiting.
Opinions, please.
