| Coughed up phlegm with gray specks in it?
About a week ago I was feeling dull pain in the left side of my chest, it felt like it was my lung. My doctor gave me an EKG, which turned out normal, and I had some blood taken, which I have not heard back on. That was several days ago. My headaches are not as bad or as frequent, but I have developed a cough since. My chest feels strange when I lie down, and I feel an odd pressure on my lungs if I lay flat on my back. Today I coughed up some mucus, which had small gray flecks in it. I have coughed a bunch since then and I have not seen anything similar except clear mucus. What could this be? Should I book a sooner appointment?
By the way, I am young and not a smoker. I was raised in a smoke free home as well and I am an athlete. :/
