Pneumothorax - When can I sing again?

Hello, I recently had a pneumothorax (spontaneous, doctors could not actually find any reason; no blebs, healthy lungs, nothing inherently wrong as far as they could tell) and I was wondering when I would be able to sing again. I asked a nurse when I was discharged from the hospital, but she just said, "take a break from it for a little while". Helpful, right?

My problem right now is that I'm getting ready to record my third album, and I do everything, and take quite a lot of pride in doing so, so I don't want anyone else to sing for me. I sing quite heavy stuff

I don't want to have to put this off for too long, because there are people who are already dying for this album, and I don't want to have to make them wait for another year or so.

If it helps, I had a 50% collapse, had the chest tube for six days (was needed for only 5, but it was kept in for 6...for good measure, or something?) and have since had four X-Rays since it was removed, all showing that my lung is still fine.
