| Coughing up bright yellow, bile-colored muscus, upper chest pain, difficult breathing
Hi, yesterday I woke up with a dry cough....throughout the day, it became increasing worse....I started getting upper chest pain (like someone is sitting on my chest and throat), starting feeling fatigue, and started coughing up mucus. By the time I went to bed, my cough was severe and I was getting chills too. This morning, I am coughing up bright yellow, bile-colored mucus. Very disturbing, as I have never experienced this color before....chest pain is worse and I cannot breathe deeply without coughing. And my throat and chest hurt badly when I cough (and even when I'm not coughing). I still have body aches, and a low fever (99).
I was exposed to a friend who had bacterial pneumonia 2 weeks ago...I am only mentioning this b/c these symptoms are similar to what she had....not even sure what the incubation period is for that.
Thanks for any help you can give. I am a 45 year old female.
