Shortness of breath after drinking coffee

I noticed I feel very short of breath after drinking coffee.
I have no problem when I drink caffeinated tea so I don't believe caffeine is the problem. Does anyone else have this problem & if so do they have any idea what could be causing it??

Re: Shortness of breath after drinking coffee

Well, coffee does have a lot more caffeine than tea, so it could be caffeine-related. It can make your heart beat faster and your chest feel tight, not fun.

Alternatively, you might have acid reflux disease. Sometimes the only symptom is shortness of breath, and coffee is a major trigger for some people.

If this only happens when you drink coffee, though, whatever the reason, the solution might just be to not drink coffee.

You may also be allergic to coffee too.
I've personally have a lot of food allergies and if I eat/drink anything that I'm allergic to I get shortness of breath.
