Pseudomonas Infection (Lungs)

After 3 months of being treated by various GP's with a plethora of antibiotics (all of which made me vomit) for several different infections from bronchitis to pneumonia, I was finally diagnosed by a specialist with Post TB bronchiectasis pseudomonas infection. I an underwent a very intensive 10 day treatment of I.V. Ceftazidime and Gentamicin. I was never told that I would feel tip top I think that was my expectation! But I am now 4 weeks on from the last day of the treatment and don't feel any different; something new has developed apart from the continued cough, vomiting and extreme fatique; my muscles especially in my legs constantly ache and feel sore to the touch; even with pain medication nothing seems to ease this. I've had a lung function test, but so far no follow up appointment with the consultant. My questions are, has anyone had the same problem after treatment? should I be feelling better by now? does anyone has any suggestions as to how I should proceed? I work as a carer for the elderly and the work is obviously quite physical but as it stands right now, I just don't see how I will get through a 4 hour shift let alone a full 8 hours or more. I find myself in an impossible situation because we do not get any sick pay from my company only statutory sick pay which is a pittance. I don't want to continue feeling like this and do want to go back to work; if anyone has any answers or suggestions, I would very much appreciate your comments - in anticipation and thank you
