| Unknown Lung Diagnosis
I have had a Bronchoscopy with a lung lavage and lymph node biopsy a few months ago, and recently underwent a VATS lung wedge resection.
This was due to extensive lung scarring on both lungs, resulting in shortness of breath.
The results have come back negative for cancer, bacterial/viral causes and negative for auto-immune issues such as sarcoidosis. The surgeon said that I could loose my lungs if the scarring gets worse, but was unable to offer any clinical diagnosis. He is the proccess of passing me off to a respiratory specialist.
Perhaps I can get some clarity as to what might this be, and if there is any treatment available?
