Thumbs down Chronic coughing.

I've had chronic coughing for two months. I am s smoker and have always had a slight cough but I've been coughing to the point if vomiting lately. In the last few days I've had coughing fits which have caused me to blackout. This has been recently accompanied by loss of appetite, headaches, and shortness of breath. What's wrong with me?

Re: Chronic coughing.

Could be any number of things. Asthma comes to mind. You need to see your doctor if your coughing is this severe.

Re: Chronic coughing.

You certainly need to have it checked out. Chronic coughs are often from asthma, allergies or acid reflux. The passing out sounds like you may want to be checked for Pertussis (Whooping Cough) also. Pertussis cases are on the rise throughout the country.

Maybe Trachea Stenosis? Narrowing of the trachea which is often misdiagnosed as asthma, allergies and acid reflux.
