Trinity12 Senior Member (female) Join Date: May 2012 Location: Canada Posts: 100	Chest pain I'm in the midst of an asthma flare up due to a cold. I'm having chest tightness and shortness of breath. These aren't unusual for my asthma symptoms. What is unusual is the pain that I have in my chest and ribs. I feel the pain in my upper chest, breastbone and ribs. I feel it whenever I breathe but it's especially bad if I try to take a deep breath. It hurts if I even touch those areas. Could it be pleurisy?
