flu-like ache's related to lupus??
Since I'm still trying to figure all this out, I'll probably be asking alot of questions in the near future. Anyway, after suspecting lupus (butterfly rash and positive ANA) my GP has referred me to a specialist for this Thursday.
Yesterday morning I woke up feeling like I had the flu. If I didn't know any better I would have thought I for sure was coming down with it.........accept I've been through this same routine a few times in the last year. I didn't have a fever, but I was literally achey all over. I was extremely tired and barely had the energy to care for my 17 mth old. As the day wore on my left arm, around the elbow, became sore and it was painful to pick up the baby. Then by the afternoon my right hip was hurting. It literally hurt to walk up the stairs. I'm still a little achey today, but still feel much better than yesterday. If I do indeed have lupus, could this be a flare up? I thought with lupus certain joints became swollen and inflamed? I have had alot of joint pain over the last 2 days.......finger stiffness, neck stiffness, sore arm, sore hip, etc. However, no specific joint has consistently been swollen or bothersome. A few months ago I had a swollen index finger for 2 weeks, but that's the only time a specific joint has even swollen for a prolonged length of time.
Am I crazy or could this all be related to lupus?
Thanks!
